Apparently MCS found no cause to remove Heaston from Shefffield seeing that he is still employed by the system. But if MCS has seen the the evidence that i have seen then the school system for some reason is protecting an educator who is preying on young men who have been his students.
Within moments of posting the previous post with pics from the video that I received this past weekend, the older man in the video was unidentified as Russell Heaston who not only is a principal of a high school but a deacon at the Oak Grove Baptist Church on Highway 64.
The problem here is not the fact that Heaston is homosexual or a "Down low Brother" but a person who should be an example for young men. Heaston should be trying to lead young men down a path of success and proper conduct. Heaston has no business having a sexual relationship with a student or a former student because of his position.
There is no doubt that the young man in the video set Heaston up but the question is why. Why did this young man feel the need to place a camera in place to record his actions with Heaston ? Was blackmail a factor? Is the reason that Heaston was reported earlier this year or the reason that i received the tape because Heaston did not pay the bribe cost?
Russell Heaston has no business as a principal of a high school. How can he now be respected by the young men of Sheffield when they know he is not the man he has portrayed himself to be? Will parents be comfortable with him with their sons? Has his actions caused embarrassment to his wife who i understand is a teacher in the system and should she have herself checked?
Now that MCS will be able to see what happened between Heaston and the former student what should their response be?
Why did you receive the tape? Russell Heaston can do no wrong in the eyes of MCS. I complained to human resources about his allowing his male friend to intimidate me and sexually harass me. I was switched to another school where the principal harased me at his request.His fraternity friends and sorority sisters take his word. Who would have believed this young man if he didn't have the tape. Anyone, who has ever been around him knows this is Heaston. The entire conversation is typical for him.

Absolutely he should not be allowed to remain in his position!!! As a parent of MCS children I find his conduct despicable!! He was the principal at American Way Middle when my son was there but if I had known that he behaves in this manner, I would never have let my son be under his supervision! I will not attempt to discredit him because of his sexual preference, but as a man in his position dealing with our youth I personally feel that his conduct is unexceptable, unethical, and unexcusable.
ReplyDelete@youthminister... i guess i never spent that much time around him to pick up on those signs. Neverthless.... the proof is the video. It speaks "literally" for itself! so sad that people are in the schools doing things like this.

ReplyDeleteI literally couldn't believe this when i heard about it, but now i can clearly see for myself! When this all first came out, my family, friends, & every that knew Russell( I use to refer to him as Mr. Heaston, but iv'e lost all respect for him) was in dis-belief. As one of his former American Way Middle School Students, i looked to him as a mentor/role model. He always got me in check when i needed to be there,& always gave me advice & encouraged me, but now i'm like no one's going to be able to turn to him for anything, especially his students, if he keeps his position! Explain to anyone how any student is going to come to him with the problems they face on a daily basis & feel comfortable talking to him now after all this has been exposed?! He doesn't need to maintain his current position, or even the position as a janitor working for MCS! He really shames me personally & i think iv'e said enough,& hope whom ever is appointed to make a decision makes the right one!!!

ReplyDeleteWow!!!!! This is really hard to believe. My son went to American Way Middle for three years and every interaction that I had with Mr. Heaston, was cordial and very professional. I was so hoping that the things that I heard on the news were not true. I just wonder how long has this been going on and if there's more than one victim. Also, what will this do fo his personal life as far as his wife and children. Whatever mayh come of this, i know that Mr. Heaston's life is tarnished and only god can judge him.. However, now that the evidence is out, It is only fair that he be relieved from MCS, as there is a safety concern. I wish him and his family( especially his wife and kids) the best of luck......
